    Global Director of Engineering

    Allentown, PA

    $150-160K plus 20% bonus

    Our client is a leading provider of specialized products, solutions and services to the biopharmaceutical manufacturing industry. The company has a very high degree of integrity and a reputation for delivering quality product on time and on budget.

    A new member of Leadership Team to provide strategic direction and vision to its Engineering Teams. We need experience in DESIGN and ASSEMBLY of machinery or equipment – particularly capital equipment that might be in process or production plants.

    • Deliver strategic insight, decisive action and leadership for the function as well as for the entire business operation.
    • Focus Engineering team on creating technical innovations in Electrical, Mechanical and Automation Systems
    • Create and implement aggressive KPIs for quality, performance, delivery, and cost for all products.
    • Develop new leaders and motivate engineering team through technical direction and guidance.
    • Optimize operating efficiencies between manufacturing sites.
    • Advance business strategy through innovative product launches, engaging ME's, EE's and Automation Engineers

    A vital element of business growth strategy is having a vibrant, technically rich, and challenged engineering team strategically aligned with product management and marketing functions that are strategic, results-focused and market savvy.

    • Lead and align a global group of over 100 engineers to design the proper organization structure, engagement levels and talent pipeline to deliver business goals
    • Plot a technology path that both interests and excites current and future technology talent.
    • Understand the different customers and their motivations; define and articulate the relevant targets, synthesize these factors and assist in rapidly building on the current "go-to-market" strategy for driving the business forward.

    In collaboration with Marketing, challenge the status quo and question what is possible regarding new technologies and product capabilities.

    Requirements:

    • Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or Business. MSEE preferred.
    • years manufacturing or engineering management experience in a pharma, life science or capital equipment environment with 5+ years in a proven leadership capacity.

    Additional Preferred Requirements:

    • Sigma Green Belt.
    • industry experience using 3D parametric CAD-based software.
    • experience using Autodesk Inventor and/or Routed Systems.
    • experience using Autodesk AutoCAD 2D/3D.
    • with ERP software. Syteline preferred.
    • with ASME / BPE Bioprocessing Equipment standards.
