    Job Description


    American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a night shift Flex Pool position in Hawaii, requiring a HI RN license and strong Med/Surg skills.

    Responsibilities

    • Work in a flex pool floating between medical, surgical, and cardiovascular units in a hospital setting
    • Adult patient population in Med/Surg, Surgical Acute, and Cardiovascular units
    • 12-hour night shifts from , typically 36 hours per week after orientation
    • Floating required between Medical (77 beds), Laulima/Surgical Acute (18 beds), and Cardiovascular (15 beds) units
    • Nurse-to-patient ratios are: Medical 1:8 nights, Laulima 1:6, Cardiovascular 1:4
    • Equipment used includes Meditech EMR, pyxis, wound vac, and chest tubes
    • RNs must float between different units as assigned based on staffing needs
    • Orientation is provided for each unit before beginning independent shifts
    • All travelers must report to Employee Health 48-72 hours prior to assignment start and should plan to arrive in Hawaii the Thursday before a Monday start
    • Proof of immunity to required diseases must be provided; exemptions are not accepted
    • Professional nursing attire with clean scrubs is required

    Requirements

    • Active Hawaii RN license required by assignment start date
    • Minimum of 2 years recent Med/Surg nursing experience
    • Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
    • Preferred certifications include PALS, Procedural Sedation, TNCC, and ENPC
    • Experience using Meditech EMR is preferred
