    Description
    Job Summary:

    The Nursing Assistant supports NorthShore providers in delivering patient care according to established clinical guidelines. This role may involve working in adult medicine, pediatrics, or women's health, focusing on upholding quality standards and ensuring excellent patient care. The ideal candidate is expected to be skilled and confident in all Northshore Clinical Services competencies.

    Essential Functions:

    • Performs various tasks such as measurements and tests, and accurately records results in the patient's electronic health record (EHR)
    • Conducts patient screenings to gather medical history and allergy information, and documents findings
    • Prepares examination rooms, assists providers during procedures, and prioritizes patient comfort and safety
    • Manages laboratory requisitions and ensures specimens are handled and sent out appropriately
    • Administers in-house lab tests following standards and records results correctly
    • Assists in stocking supplies, maintains inventory, and keeps clinical information up to date in the EHR
    • Completes required trainings, reviews knowledge, and helps colleagues improve their skills
    • Participates in meetings and training sessions as necessary
    • Performs other duties as assigned by management
