    Job Description

    Responsibilities

    • Repair and maintain electrical circuits and components on plant machinery and equipment, power circuits, and lighting fixtures according to instructions.
    • Execute work orders with quality workmanship and use tools of the craft with skill.
    • Locate source of trouble on simple electrical equipment or apparatus by tracing and testing circuits and inspection for mechanical failure.
    • Work with crew on installing or repairing all types of electrical and electronic equipment.

    Requirements

    • Prior electrical and mechanical experience required.
    • Must complete self-study courses within six months of start date.
    • Fork Truck License must be attained and maintained.
    • High school graduate or equivalent preferred, along with advanced manufacturing training experience.

    Working Conditions

    Adverse conditions include working outdoors, in cold, wet, hot environments. Must also work Weekends, holidays, after hours, and during week-long shutdowns.

    Tools and Equipment

    Hand tools, electrical tools, measuring instruments, and general shop equipment are used. Electrical drills, screwdrivers, wrenches, pliers, knives, hammer, saw, soldering iron, rule, dies, meggers, test light, volt meter, ohmmeter, ammeter, wire pullers, miscellaneous testing equipment, hydraulic conduit bender, and pipe threader are among the tools used.

    $60,000 - $80,000 per year
