    GridironIT is seeking 2 Chief Engineers local to an Army and AF base to support a federal client on a hybrid basis.

    The locations listed are preferred but we are open to other locations
    Top-Secret clearance is required


    Key Role:
    Join our elite team as a leader to build next-generation Joint Fires technologies for our defense clients.

    Work alongside leadership to fully integrate IT and business planning to increase business capability and value, reduce cost and risk, foster innovation, and maximize accountability and return on investment.

    Perform as the technical subject matter technical expert to enhance business goals and objectives specific to the firm's strategies, programs, initiatives, and investments.

    Advise organizational leadership on emerging Artificial intelligence, software, digital engineering, and open system technologies and how to implement those concepts to support Joint Fires modernization efforts.

    Work alongside leadership to ensure IT and business planning are fully integrated continuously to increase business capability and value to our clients.

    This hybrid position combines working at the office and/or client site and working remotely.

    Overarching Responsibilities:
    Coordinate activities, resources, and priorities across functional teams to ensure programmatic schedules, milestones, and deliverables are met
    Work with clients, stakeholders, and vendors to architect environments that meet their requirements and provide sufficient capability.
    Responsible for the daily battle rhythm of active applicable development and investment activities.

    Leading architectural discussions with technical teams to develop transition architectures, roadmaps and design patterns to adapt cloud-suitable applications to cloud native architectures.

    Full Stack software development management.

    Basic Qualifications:
    12+ years of experience with software engineering and data engineering solutions for DoD Command and Control Weapon Systems
    5+ years of experience with solutions engineering for the Army Mission Command systems and joint systems (ARMY- AFATDS, JADOCS, FOS, both mounted and dismounted and/or Air Force Command and

    Control Systems:
    ABMS, AOC, CRC, BC3, AWACS, TACP)
    3+ years of experience with DevSecOps for the DoD and DoD Mission System implementation 3+ years of experience with systems engineering and requirements decomposition Experience with the application of Agile practices, principles, and patterns and fielding operational System of System architectures Experience with managing multiple parallel technical projects and project teams Experience leading successful business development across a complex portfolio of Enterprise software solutions
    Ability to conduct technology assessments and market analysis Top Secret clearance
    Bachelor's degree

    Additional Qualifications:
    Ability to apply subject matter expertise on tactical applications from Army-PEO C3T Family of Systems, Air Force PEO Digital/C3BM and from external PEO's systems across the DoD
    Ability to apply subject matter expertise with one or more of the following DoD programs: TACS, AAGS, CWC, NTACS, and/or MACCS
    Experience Working with Open Mission Systems (OMS) / Universal Command and Control Interface (UCI)
    Ability to communicate clearly and concisely with executive-level briefing materials and delivery.
    Master's degree preferred

    Clearance:

    Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Top Secret clearance is required.
