Overview

ESI is seeking an experienced Lead Fire Alarm Technician to join our growing team. This role is responsible for leading installation, service, inspection, and troubleshooting of commercial fire alarm systems while mentoring junior technicians and ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with applicable codes and standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead installation, service, and inspection of fire alarm systems
• Troubleshoot and repair fire alarm system components and wiring
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and specifications
• Ensure compliance with NFPA codes and local regulations
• Supervise and mentor apprentices and junior technicians
• Coordinate with project managers, customers, and inspectors
• Complete documentation, reports, and service records

Qualifications

• Journeyman or Class D license preferred
• 5+ years of fire alarm installation/service experience
• NICET certification (preferred or required — adjust as needed)
• Knowledge of Joint Commission Standards and fire alarm testing procedures and reporting requirements preferred
• Strong knowledge of NFPA 72 and related codes
• Experience with commercial fire alarm systems
• Valid driver's license
• Strong troubleshooting and leadership skills
