    PRIMARY PURPOSE:

    It is the primary responsibility of the Bus Runner to maintain the assigned section and keep tables in a clean, sanitary condition. This includes removing dirty dishes and debris from the tables and supplying tables and side stations with clean dishes, silverware, glassware, and condiments. The bus runner also works in conjunction with Food Servers to ensure that outstanding guest service is constantly achieved. This includes ensuring efficient delivery of food to the restaurant.

    PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Maintain food and beverage station in a clean and orderly manner
    • Clean and sanitize all equipment
    • Keep floors free of debris and spills
    • Sweep and mop floor, and empty garbage, as required by the property
    • Maintain par stock levels in the beverage station
    • Clean and sanitize tables and chairs
    • Retrieve orders the warehouse and stock storeroom
    • Assist with proper stock rotation
    • Run food as required by the Department

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

    • Effective listening abilities with strong judgment skills
    • Knowledge of health, safety and sanitation regulations
    • Able to effectively communicate in English, in both written and verbal forms
    • Knowledge of hotel services, features, local attractions and activities to respond to guest inquiries accurately
    • Excellent customer service skills and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with all business contacts

    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

    • Work varied shifts, to include weekends and holidays

    PREFERRED:

    • One (1) year of experience in a restaurant as a Bus or Food Runner
    • One (1) year fast paced, high volume restaurant operations experience
    • Experience working in a similar resort setting
