    Maintenance/Electrical Technician

    The leadership at MidWest Nonwovens is committed to continually improving the quality and capability of our equipment. We are growing rapidly and are looking for a Manufacturing Maintenance Mechanic/Electrician that would like to contribute to our team.

    Responsibilities:

    • Perform assigned preventative maintenance work, following procedures directed by work orders or higher-level technicians to ensure all instructions are followed.
    • Troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical problems on all equipment, making necessary repairs according to MWN standards.
    • Be available for on-call shifts, including nights and weekends, to address breakdowns.
    • Maintain a clean and organized maintenance area.
    • Utilize software skills, including Microsoft Office and web-based applications, to maintain accurate maintenance records.
    • Perform other duties as assigned.

    Required Qualifications:

    • A High School Diploma or GED is required.
    • 2+ years of industrial maintenance experience or equivalent technical education are necessary.
    • Ability to troubleshoot both mechanical and electrical issues and solve problems.
    • Read and troubleshoot low-voltage using electrical schematics.
    • Perform basic electrical work, including changing out motors, troubleshooting machine faults, and running wiring.
    • Be available for on-call shifts, including nights and weekends.
    • Verbal and written communication skills are necessary to communicate with immediate management.
    • Time management, organizational, and multi-tasking skills are necessary to work in a fast-paced environment.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Vocational or Technical School training is preferred.
    • BASIC KNOWLEDGE OF PLC's IS DESIRABLE.

    Physical Requirements:

    • Frequent lifting, climbing, crouching, squatting, bending, and kneeling are required.
    • Climbing ladders, bending, crawling into tight spaces, and lifting up to 75 pounds are also required.
