    NICU Respiratory Therapist Job Description

    In this role, you will provide diagnostic and therapeutic treatment, patient education, and support in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. You will also perform evaluations, assessments, and document patient care. Additionally, you will work with a team to provide high-quality critical care in accordance with patient care guidelines.

    • Salary range: $32.19-$48.28/hour
    • Plus up to $4.25/hour differential pay & shift pick up incentive

    Work Schedule: 36 hours per week, 12-hour shifts, rotating shifts, Day 6:30 am -7:00 pm & Night 6:30 pm -7:00 am every other weekend & every other holiday.

    Responsibilities:

    • Provide diagnostic and therapeutic treatment and physician assistance
    • Provide patient education, family teaching and support
    • Document patient care and significant changes in patient condition
    • Communicate pertinent information to caregivers
    • Perform pain assessment and take appropriate action
    • Complete documentation and process patient charges
    • Transport infants to/from referral health systems
    • Perform other duties as needed


    Requirements:

    • Respiratory Therapist certification from North Dakota State Board of Respiratory Care
    • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from American Heart Association
    • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification from American Heart Association
    • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification from RQI Partners
