Job Description
The Claims Support Specialist is responsible for supporting the needs of all ePremium claims functions including reviewing and processing inbound claims. This role provides an important service to our customers as they manage through the claims process. Individuals in this role will receive phone calls or emails regarding new or existing claims and will work with the claimant, our system, and carriers to process new claims or conduct research on existing claims. They will complete tasks in a claims workflow to aid in the communication process between our agency and the insurance carrier.
The role forms part of a small team which supports several key business areas including Account Management and Customer Services. The successful candidate will have the ability to grow within the role and exercise a degree of autonomy as experience in our industry increases.
Functions and Responsibilities
- Receive calls and provide guidance to the caller, may conduct research and have a return call
- Receive emails and provide accurate and appropriate responses
- Manage complaints received by claimants and coordinate a response from the claims team
- Complete tasks within the claims workflow, must learn our proprietary system
- Have a keen eye for irregularities in the claims flow and be able to advise or handle accordingly
- Provide claims reports as appropriate
What We're Looking For
- Minimum of 1 year in a customer service or office work environment
- Works well in a team environment
- Ability to meet the requirements of scheduled activities while balancing competing priorities
- Desire to progress and learn new skills
- A results orientated attitude and ability to improvise when required
- Commitment to meeting the needs of fellow employees and external customers
- Ability to learn proprietary software
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (desirable but not essential)
- U.S. work authorization
- Ability to lift/push/pull/carry up to 50lbs.

- We have an in-office work style, with most team members working in office from Monday to Thursday & remotely on Friday
