    Description

    Overview:
    Insight Global is in search of a Mechanical/Renewable Energy Engineer with industrial experience in the renewable energy sector.

    The engineer will be responsible as the design technical lead and project manager on Waste-to-Energy, landfill gas, anaerobic digestion, biogas, bioenergy and renewable natural gas projects.

    This client supports many multi-million dollar stakeholders throughout the Engineering Consulting process from Conceptualization to Completion, and is looking for a qualified and determined senior engineer to support this specific sector with the end goal of being a Design Lead, and a manager of other internal engineers and projects.


    Day to Day:

    • Perform engineering design for projects related to RNG, Bioenergy, wastewater treatment, etc.
    • Evaluation of existing systems for the purpose of providing upgrades or efficiency increases.
    • Trouble shooting existing systems.
    • Create technical documentation, specifications, and operating procedures.
    • Conduct design basis, conceptual design, and detailed design.
    • Manage other staff members and support staff to direct teams in the timely completion of projects.
    • Collaborates with the Development team in the preparation and coordination of proposals/RFIs, bills of material, evaluation of product technical data, and other marketing efforts.
    • Review internal and external design documents and provide feedback on concept and code compliance, adherence to contract requirements, constructability, cost optimization and other factors for a complete and accurate design package.
    • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders.
    PE Certification / Ability to obtain.


    • Experience with Casaer , ProMax (piping specific design software)
    • Wastewater Experience working with Anaerobic Digestion
    • Chemical Engineering Experience

    Must Haves:

    • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering
    • 8+ years of demonstrated experience in chemical and renewable energy sector.
    o Familiar with taking Dirty Gas through separation and conveyance to make it a viable Natural Gas Energy Source (Waste Products -> BioGas -> NG that is 'RNG')

    • Demonstrated ability to explain the process of support from Conceptualization to Completion
    o Process Engineering (feasibility, development from scratch)

    o Detailed Design to Issued for Construction (IFC)

    o Construction Management

    o Automation and SCADA (Supervisory Control And Data Acquisition)

    o Due Diligence & Owner's Engineer (OE) Services

    • Experience sizing, spec'ing & designing:
    o Pumps, Motors, Blowers, Compressors, etc.

    o Pressurization levels range from 10-700lbs PSI

    o Machines working ranges of Horsepower (HP)

    • Knowledge of Code & Standards within a relevant environment
    o Fire Protection Standards

    o ASME Specs (Pipe Sizing Standards)

    o General Electric Codes and Standards

    • Experience w/ 2D & 3D AutoCAD, SolidWorks
    • Experience leading and managing teams of 1020 engineers
    • Great communication both written and spoken
