Senior RedHat Administrator

with Ansible

to support one of our clients out of the

Woodlawn, MD area. All considered candidates must reside within two hours of headquarters.

Support the database team with Linux expertise in performance issues, problem diagnosis, patching, upgrading, provisioning, and process improvementProvide guidance/support to other junior/mid-level resourcesImpact functional strategy by developing new solutions, processes, standards, or operational plans that position Leidos competitively in the marketplaceAll other duties as assigned or directed

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field7 years of experience as a Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7.x/8.x Platform Administration (administration, installation, configuration, optimization, backup & recovery)7 years of experience with performance tuning & troubleshooting, identifying, and resolving memory, CPU, access, networking, disk I/O, etc.5 years of experience working Virtual Platforms5 years of experience working with Ansible Playbooks (creating, developing, updating, and executing)3 years of experience with scripting languages for automation tasks and deployments (e.g., Bash Shell and Python)Expertise in the Linux command-line environmentExcellent interpersonal and communication skillsStrong experience in AWSMust be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust.

Contract requirement.

Required Skills:

Solid experience as a Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) AdministratorExcellent knowledge and experience with RHEL applications and tools - Ansible, Satellite, RHEVM, etc.

Experience in providing support for installation, configuration and troubleshooting of middleware applications.

Adept at working independently, but also in a team environmentDemonstrated experience delivering technology solutions in a fast-paced, deadline driven enterprise environmentExcellent understanding of change management, testing requirements, techniques, and tools to ensure high availability of systemsProven experience developing and maintaining Red Hat Ansible PlaybooksPrior Federal government experienceSelf-starter, highly motivated individual who adapts to a dynamic work environmentStrong attention to detail with an ability to operate effectively across multiple priorities

Education:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field with 7+ years experienceMust be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust
