Job Description
As a Security Officer - Access Desk Attendant in McDonough, GA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join a leading team where flexibility meets opportunity. As a Part-Time Security Officer, you can build a schedule that works for you and explore new roles using our Claim a Shift platform. Learn more: As an Allied Universal Access Control Officer at a busy retail distribution location, you will help manage entry points, check credentials, greet visitors and associates, and support security-related screening and incident reporting. You will complete routine patrols of assigned areas, remain a visible presence that helps to deter unwanted activity, and communicate clearly with site leaders. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a retail distribution location.
- Control access at entry and exit points by verifying identification, issuing temporary credentials when authorized, and directing foot and vehicle traffic according to site procedures.
- Monitor inbound and outbound deliveries and/or trailers by checking appointments, reviewing shipping paperwork as required, and documenting movements in logs or electronic systems.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating to site leadership and/or emergency services as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and perimeter, including parking areas, dock doors, and common areas, noting and reporting unusual conditions.
Minimum Requirements:
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
