    SUBFUNCTION DEFINITION:
    Cincinnati Children's Hospital seeks a qualified Senior Systems Engineer Imaging Informatics to join our esteemed imaging informatics team.

    In this role, you will play a pivotal part in providing service and support for imaging-related computer systems across the institution.

    Leveraging your expertise, you will analyze, implement, and maintain medical imaging computer-based systems and applications, ensuring seamless operation and support.

    The ideal candidate will possess a technical mindset, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills to convey technical information in a clear and friendly manner.

    Prior experience in imaging is not required, but healthcare application support experience is strongly preferred.


    This role provides a hybrid remote work setup with occasional onsite obligations following the introductory onsite phase. REPRESENTATIVE RESPONSIBILITIESRespond to, troubleshoot, and resolve imaging systems-related issues from various departments and institutions, maintaining an issues log and troubleshooting guide.

    Document issue resolution and provide user feedback to mitigate consistent errors, escalating issues to management with potential solutions.
    Perform detailed analysis of imaging workflows, data collection, report details, and other technical aspects to meet departmental reporting needs.
    Monitor systems using available methods and identify opportunities for process, workflow, and software enhancements.

    Participate in the installation, configuration, updating, testing, and validation of moderately complex imaging-related systems, coordinating software updates and changes as needed.

    Create and prepare basic scripts to support and maintain imaging systems effectively.
    Consult within the department to assess system requirements and understand the downstream impact of technological changes.
    Document business processes, technical requirements, imaging, and data workflows, and design user documentation and training materials.
    Assist in the development of training standards and objectives and conduct training sessions as required.
    Manage moderately complex medical imaging projects, creating and maintaining project plans to ensure timely completion. Adhere to change control practices to implement imaging system changes, including project implementation.
    Serve as a liaison between users, Information Services, and vendors to facilitate effective communication and collaboration.
    Participate in departmental on-call rotation for application and process support.


    Qualifications:

    Required:
    Bachelor's degree OR equivalent combination of education and experience5 years of work experience in a related job disciplinePreferred:
    Experience with DICOM and HL7.Certification in CIIP, CRES, or PACS Administrator.
    Strong understanding of computer and Information Technology concepts.
