    About Our Client

    Our client is an established automotive manufacturer, with key customers such as Honda, Nissan and Toyota. They seek a Safety Manager to oversee all the safety program, including the design and implementation of new programs. This role will report to their Senior Human Resources & Safery Manager.

    As the Safety Manager, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing comprehensive environmental, health, and safety programs to ensure compliance with regulations, promote employee well-being, and minimize environmental impact. You will collaborate with various departments to create a culture of safety and sustainability throughout the organization.

  • Develop and implement EHS policies, procedures, and programs in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify hazards, assess risks, and implement corrective actions to prevent incidents.
  • Coordinate and conduct EHS training for employees, including safety procedures, emergency response, and environmental awareness.
  • Manage the incident reporting and investigation process, including root cause analysis and implementation of preventive measures.
  • Monitor and track EHS performance metrics, analyze trends, and prepare reports for management review.
  • Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to ensure safety protocols are integrated into design, production, and maintenance processes.
  • Lead environmental compliance efforts, including waste management, pollution prevention, and sustainability initiatives.
  • Stay current with regulatory changes and industry best practices, and proactively implement necessary updates to EHS programs.
  • Serve as the primary contact for regulatory agencies, conduct inspections, and manage permit applications and renewals.
  • Champion a safety culture by promoting awareness, engagement, and continuous improvement initiatives across all levels of the organization.

  • 5+ years of Health and Safety management experience in a Manufacturing environment
  • Experience with interpretation of OSHA regulations and safety policy and programs
  • Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook experience
  • Project management experience is a plus
  • Valid driver's license is required in order to drive between the production facilities
  • Must be willing to cross-train What's on Offer
  • Competitive base salary between $100,000 and $115,000, depending on experience and skills
  • 5 Days of Paid Time Off, plus 10 additional paid vacation days during plant slowdowns
