    Shop Manager (Stone Fabrication, High Mix Production)
    Company: Cumar Location: Everett, MA (On-site) Compensation: $110,000 to $130,000 base salary, plus potential bonus based on company profitability Schedule: 6:00am to 4:00pm, Monday to Friday; Saturdays as needed (skeleton crew) Type: Salaried role, no paid overtime
    Quick Summary
    Cumar is hiring a Shop Manager to lead daily shop operations and own the week-to-week production schedule in a custom, made-to-order stone fabrication environment. This is a high mix, low volume job shop where priorities shift weekly, and success depends on calm leadership, strong scheduling instincts, and consistent follow-through.
    This role reports directly to the General Manager and leads a production team of 25+ employees, with a Shop Foreman supporting day-to-day floor activity.
    What You Will Own

    • Day-to-day and week-to-week production scheduling, with frequent adjustments as priorities shift
    • Leadership of 25+ shop employees, partnering closely with the Shop Foreman
    • Coordination with Project Managers to track job status and keep production aligned with install needs
    • Key operating decisions including schedule changes, overtime authorization, hiring and terminations
    • Vendor coordination for equipment maintenance and service (not responsible for material procurement)
    • Accurate production tracking and updates in Stone Profits ERP
    • Safe, organized, and accountable shop execution
    What We Are Looking For
    • Production leadership experience in manufacturing, fabrication, or a custom job shop environment (high mix, low volume preferred)
    • Strong background in production planning, scheduling, and workflow coordination
    • Spanish is required, with daily working proficiency to lead, coach, and problem-solve on the shop floor (native fluency not required)
    • Calm, resilient leadership style and comfort making decisions in a changing schedule environment
    • Stone fabrication experience is a plus, but strong manufacturing leaders from other industries are encouraged to apply

    • Bring structure to weekly scheduling, even when priorities shift constantly
    • Build trust quickly with the Shop Foreman and the crew through clear expectations and consistent follow-through
    • Tighten communication and handoffs with Project Managers and make Stone Profits the reliable source of truth
    • Support a more professional, process-oriented operation while protecting the strong team culture already in place
