    Controls Engineer

    We are currently seeking a Controls Engineer to join our dynamic team. The Controls Engineer will be instrumental in evaluating, troubleshooting, and implementing manufacturing process controls for diverse programs, including OEM equipment. This role is crucial in developing algorithms for device control, providing comprehensive controls engineering support throughout the facility, and enhancing engineering operations across the plant.

    Responsibilities:

    • Evaluate, troubleshoot, and develop designs for manufacturing process controls to ensure high quality, productivity, and cost efficiencies.
    • Develop algorithms to control devices and provide extensive controls engineering support plant-wide.
    • Support the Quality Department on customer issues and during customer concerns to uphold product standards.
    • Guide process engineering and maintenance technicians to minimize downtime and drive continuous improvement.
    • Justify standards changes and maintain robust backup program communications and downloads.
    • Adhere to procedures and corrective actions to minimize or eliminate PPMs (Parts Per Million).
    • Offer recommendations on technological advancements in controls engineering.
    • Troubleshoot data software interface systems including SCADA, MES, and other integration tools.
    • Evaluate manufacturing control systems like Siemens Controls, Robotics, Scanners, Cameras, AGV, SCADA, MES, etc.
    • Ensure machine process quality through internal design/implementation and vendor controls reviews using established standards.
    • Write and test logic to guarantee that error-proofing systems are operational and meet design intent.
    • Conduct research on product and process deficiencies, recommending necessary modifications.
    • Ensure strict compliance with EHS rules and regulations.
    • Assist with any additional tasks as assigned.

    Required Skills/Abilities:

    • Excellent communication skills to interface with various teams and work effectively across all levels of the organization.
    • Strong organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
    • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Electrical and Mechanical engineering, various controls logic languages software programming, and robot programming.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Experience with KUKA robots is highly preferred.
    • Certification and/or specialized training in Controls is highly desired.

    Qualifications:

    • Academic degree: Bachelor's Degree in Electrical or Controls Engineering preferred
    • Language proficiency: English required; Chinese beneficial
    • Years of industry experience: 2+ years preferred

    Specific Knowledge & Skills:

    • Professional knowledge in controls engineering and skills in computer and office software are required.
