    Commercial Operations Lead North America

    US Based

    IL, NJ, or TN

    The purpose of the role is to keep our factories running smoothly, lead and support supplier enabled business growth, cash and value projects, implement commercial (procurement) strategies and drive improved service and performance through our supplier base.

    What are we looking for?
    • Bachelor degree with a focus on supply chain management, business, engineering, procurement or operations. Master's degree preferred.
    • 5 + years of relevant experience working within Commercial (Procurement), Supply Chain or Project Management type of roles
    • Effective relationship management - internal and external
    • Excellent understanding of E2E supply chain
    • In depth understanding of SRM programs, continuous improvement programs, Risk Mitigation strategies; Procure-to-Pay technologies; Root cause of Demand, Price, Inventory, and BOM Variances; General understanding of Supply Chain processes, Import/Export Compliance activities, and P&L analysis.
    • Strong project management and leadership capabilities
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Excellent planning and organizational skills
    What will be your key responsibilities?
    • Responsible for the Rice category in the region as Commercial Operations Lead
    • Drive the Risk management / Resilience program for their category and other categories in the region
    • Continuous improvement of suppliers' performance, and relationships Management
    • Contribution into growth targets via effective support of new product launches
    • Analyze buying operations program metrics and provide analytic insight to buying category leadership.
    • Ensure continuity of the inbound supply of materials into product manufacturing locations through timely management of inbound quality requirements, including but not limited to forecasting and understanding supplier capacity
    • Partners with purchasing associates to assure purchasing contract accuracy, contract adherence and contract reporting
    • Supports new materials by collaborating with key business stakeholders to verify item set-up accuracy and follow-through in preparation for contract execution
    • Ensure deployment of Strategic Sourcing Strategy as well as value leadership projects in 0-18 months
    • Ensure timely invoice management, reconciliation, and issue resolution
    • Deliver various reporting requirements
    • Represent Commercial in Activity Management forums (Innovation) from Execution onwards
    • Relationship lead for Mars Commercial Services in the region
    • Deployment of Regional Complex implementation projects
    • Focuses on optimizing inbound supply chains to eliminate future potential risks
