    **Job Description and Responsibilities**

    As a **Senior Ops Technical Support Specialist** for **Visa Research**, you will be responsible for systems support management and infrastructure management for installations, vulnerability management, incident handling and change coordination. In this role, you will be successful by introducing technologies, methods, and solutions to deliver innovative products.

    You will interact with different stakeholders, data scientists, research scientists, software engineers and architects. You will discover and propose new processes to manage infrastructure and implement those ideas.

    **Key responsibilities include:**

    Work with senior engineers to identify and perform systems support tasks and improvements.

    Collaborate with Operations & Infrastructure and development leads for all systems Infrastructure items:

    + Work on Qualys security scan findings as well as security penetration, code scan and other security findings on applications and ensure they are remediated within timelines.

    + Coordinate infrastructure requirements and requests

    + Track and coordinate all required systems and a security maintenance updates

    + Work with technology partners in infrastructure, network, and security to create and maintain system topology and network (subnet, firewall, ports, etc..) blueprints.

    + Manage process to open and track firewall ports

    + Work with development leads to identify and document application and infrastructure requirements to meet Service Recovery targets in the event of a disaster

    + Ensure applications are compliant and work toward remediation or documentation.

    Collaborate with development teams in extending continuous integration, build automation, test automation, and deployment automation.

    Participate in design reviews and provide input on environment and support related requirements, schedules, and potential problems.

    **Qualifications**

    **Basic**

    Minimum 6 months of work experience or a Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or relevant technical field required.

    Working knowledge of system administration

    Working knowledge of Red Hat

    Ability to write queries using SQL, and experience with database client tools with databases like Oracle and SQL.

    Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.

    **Preferred**

    Working knowledge of Unix/Linux and Shell scripting

    Working knowledge of server configurations, software versions, and tools usage.

    Excellent analytical skills and problem-solving ability

    Basic knowledge of web development

    **Additional Information**

    **Travel Requirements** This position requires the incumbent to travel for work 5% of the time.

    **Mental/Physical Requirements** This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers, and reach with hands and arms.

    **Work Hours** Incumbent must make themselves available during core business hours.
