    Job Opportunity: Per-Diem Ultrasound Tech



    Summary:
    The Ultrasound Radiographer is responsible for conducting various Ultrasound examinations, coordinating patient testing services, and supervising the process.

    Responsibilities:
    • Operate Ultrasound equipment
    • Prepare and maintain cleanliness of ultrasound rooms
    • Screen and explain procedures to patients
    • Coordinate selected patient testing services
    • Educate and support patients and their families
    • Instruct healthcare providers and patients on equipment and procedures
    • Ensure quality care and effective testing systems
    • Maintain patient records and equipment
    • Support research projects
    • Communicate equipment and image quality issues
    • Handle genetic specimens
    • Adhere to Penn Medicine standards and procedures
    • Other duties as assigned

    Credentials:
    Amer Reg Diag Med Sonographer (Required) ARDMS Basic Cardiac Life Support (Required)

    Certified in Abdomen, OB/GYN, and Vascular (RVT) within 1 year of hire

    Education and Experience:
    High School Diploma/GED (Required) Graduate of an Accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography School

    Minimum 1 year of experience in Ultrasonography
