    Job Title: Landscape/Tree Operations Manager (Cedar Rapids/Iowa City Division)
    FLSA Status: Exempt
    Reports To: General Manager

These services include tree care, landscaping maintenance, interior plant design and maintenance, lawn care, holiday lights and décor.     JOB SUMMARY: The Operations Manager's main responsibility is to provide leadership and manage the Cedar Rapids/IA City division to achieve company goals. This position is also responsible for safety practices, development, profitability, operations workflow, resource management, growth, production, and supervision. This position is full-time and may require overtime and/or weekends.

    • Assist in producing financial goals; implement controls over spending and production to ensure adherence to the budget
    • Evaluate division performance and recommend new strategies for performance improvements
    • Assist in employee recruitment, performance evaluation promotion, retention and termination activities
    • Resolve business/customer issues and ensure that all escalated issues are closed
    • Oversee safety and technical training, and enforce standards
    • Develop and enforce best practices to ensure operational efficiency
    • Manage coordinate and monitor all personnel and resources essential for the operation of the division
    • Identify and implement growth opportunities within the division
    • Work flexible hours in all weather conditions to accommodate the seasonality of the industry

    JOB REQUIREMENTS:
    • Minimum of 5 years industry related experience in residential and commercial services
    • Minimum of 5 years managing personnel
    • Valid Iowa driver's license with a clean driving record
    • Must have valid First-Aid and CPR cards or be willing to obtain one
    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
    • Ability to reach, climb, kneel, lift (up to 100 lbs.) and walk for extended periods of time
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Strong organizational, project management and problem-solving skills
    • Must be able to work independently and on a team in a fast-paced environment
    • Possesses the ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing priorities
    • Ability to work flexible hours including overtime, weekends and during adverse weather conditions as warranted by workload and schedule
    • Ability to read, write and speak English sufficient to perform job duties and to interact and communicate with employees and vendors
