The NC Administrative Office of the Courts (NCAOC), Technology Services Division (TSD), seeks a qualified Windows Server Administrator tassist with management, administration, and maintenance of NCAOC Virtualized Server environment.
This position provides 24x7x365 operational support for 30,000+ Judicial and nonResponsibilities include but are not limited tthe following:
Windows Server AdministrationManage operation, health, and security of a Virtual Server environment.
Research Vulnerability Notices when received and work with affected areas for patch or workaround deployment.
Assist with management and maintenance of physical datacenter infrastructure.
Respond tMonitoring System Alerts.
Active Directory User AdministrationManage Users and Groups.
Provide Users access trequested resources.
Helpdesk Ticket TriageReview Helpdesk Tickets and resolve if possible.
Route tickets tdesignated engineers if not able tpersonally resolve.
Follow up with users on aged tickets tverify they are still valid requests.
General AdministrationPerform troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and performance benchmarking.
Provide support for issues ranging from single-user issues tsystem-wide problems.
Assist with periodic testing of disaster preparedness for the NC Judicial Center Data Center.
And other assigned duties.
The person in this position reports tthe Distributed Computing Manager. Work hours are 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, Monday
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities / CompetenciesKnowledge of:
windows server operating systems, physical server infrastructure, virtual servers, virtualization technologies, and infrastructure support tools
Skills in:
managing, supporting, and monitoring server hardware, operating systems, and software in a primarily Windows-based environment
Ability to:
manage and monitor windows servers in a virtualized environment; Assure existing systems are functioning properly and processing effectively according tthe objectives; Troubleshoot common server issues with servers and software in a primarily Windows-based environment; Perform administration tasks in Active Directory.
Assist faculty and management staff in the analysis of vulnerability alert management.Minimum Education and Experience RequirementsBachelor's degree in computer science or another related information technology field and four (4) years of IT related work experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Management recommends that candidates have at least three (3) years of directly related experience in Windows Server Management three (3) years of directly related experience tPhysical Server Management.
