    Job Description

    UMC Physicians is looking for an Accounting Specialist with the ability to provide customer service and manage various tasks with different timelines.

    The Accounting Specialist should be a self-starter and enjoy being part of a fast-paced culture.

    Availability Requirements:

    • Ability to work 40 hours per week
    • 8-5 Monday – Friday

    Responsibilities include:

    • Managing small receivable accounts in Quickbooks
    • Reconciling daily posting activities
    • Reconcile Balance Sheet accounts
    • Performance of various clerical duties, including document scanning,
    printing month end reports for financials packets and use of various
    Microsoft Office Products.


    • Additional duties as assigned

    Required Qualifications:

    • Associates or Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Business related field is
    preferred OR 2-years experience in an Accounting related position


    • Experience with Microsoft Office-Excel

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Previous front desk receptionist experience is helpful
    • QuickBooks experience is a plus

    Environmental Conditions:
    Works in well-lit, heated and ventilated building. Exposure to blood borne pathogens are of low risk. Hours of duty may be irregular.


    Physical Requirements:
    Work is of medium demand; walking and sitting most of the time while on duty. Adequate hand/eye coordination and fine motor skills required. Visual acuity and writing skills necessary for factual documentation. Hours may vary to accommodate needs of the corporation.
