Pediatric Hospitalist Location:

California (CA), near Lakehead We are currently seeking a dedicated Pediatric Hospitalist to provide coverage located near Lakehead, California.

This facility is in urgent need of locum support for the following dates:

Pediatric resuscitation and intubation


EMR:
Cerner Care B Average Number of Admissions per Day: pediatric patients and newborn/nursery patients Average Number of ICU Patients per Day: N/A (Facility does not have a PICU and NICU is covered by neonatologists)

Emergency Codes:

Run by emergency medicine physicians Pediatrician's Role in ER Visits: They will provide an in-person evaluation or phone consultation based on ER physician's determination of the patient's condition.

The pediatric hospitalist is the attending for any children admitted through the ER or by direct admit.


Attending Deliveries/Cesarean Sections:
No, they are the attending for newborns admitted to the well-baby nursery after delivery. Neonatologists handle all high-risk deliveries.


Job Requirements:
Board Certified Pediatric Hospitalist - REQUIRED OR Truly BE (0-3 years from residency completion)

Active CA license - REQUIRED Clean Malpractice/background - REQUIRED Must state availability of specific dates and ongoing at name clear (# of shifts per month) - REQUIRED Must be on an active staff at a TJC accredited facility with unrestricted privileges - REQUIRED TO NOTE Disclose if provider has worked at any other CHI/Dignity facility - REQUIRED COVID Vaccinated - REQUIRED # of Providers Needed: 1
Shift Type: 24Hour (7 days a week)
