At Darkhive, we are developing a compact, autonomous drone that serves as a showcase for our advanced software platform. The synergy between our software and hardware components is crucial for unleashing the drone's full potential within our target markets.

The Role:

Joining Darkhive as an intern means diving into a diverse range of challenges related to both software and hardware development. You will have the opportunity to shape your internship experience by focusing on areas that align with your skills and interests. These may include enhancing autopilot functionality, refining drivers, crafting localization algorithms, selecting and validating optical components, designing and testing radio antennas, and developing GNSS modules. As part of our close-knit team, you will directly impact real design choices.

Requirements

• Pursuing a degree in Robotics, Software Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace, or related fields.
• Proficiency in Linux and C++ or electromechanical design and testing.
• US Person status required for data access.

Bonus Qualifications:

• Familiarity with PX4 Autopilot.
• Solid C++ skills within a Linux environment.
• Experience with Altium, Solidworks, or similar tools.
• Working knowledge of single-board computers (SBCs) like Raspberry Pi for small-scale projects.
• Previous involvement with small unmanned aerial systems (sUAS) in a research or engineering capacity.
• Hands-on experience with integrated electrical, mechanical, and software systems.
• Proficiency in ROS/2 and Python is a plus.
