ResponsibilitiesThe Senior Business Analyst gathers high-quality software requirements in an Agile development environment. Performs UAT on completed work. Provides clear stakeholder communication across business lines.


Key responsibilities include:
Elicit business requirements from business users andsubject matter experts. Gathers & catalogues functional, non-functional, and technical requirements for stakeholder requests.

Define and document requirements into Agile User Story format using SMART decomposition, define the corresponding business-driven acceptance criteria and test cases.

Assist in operational rollout and support of software development team.
Acts as the product(s) subject matter expert to support scope and requirement decisions.
Analyze and help the Product Manager to prioritize backlogs around business value.

Participate in and facilitate relevant Agile ceremonies and rituals:
Backlog Grooming, Daily Stand-up, Sprint Planning, Sprint Demos, Sprint Retrospectives.
Proactively support the uplift of Agile practices and foster a culture of continual product and process improvement.
Provide subject matter expertise in specific functional area(s) for assigned Scrum team.
QualificationsEducation and Required ExperienceBachelors degree in a relevant field and/or equivalent experience. MIS/BIS degrees preferred.

Certification in Agile Scrum, specifically Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) and/or Certified Scrum Master (CSM).Minimal 2 year business analysis experience.

Experience with Agile methodology, writing user stories, managing scrum calls, prioritizing backlog, etc.
Experience delivering requirements for consumer facing web and mobile solutions.
Preferred ExperienceSome experience in project management and leadership.
Experience in financial services with a preference for fintech or consumer lending.
Technical Skills/AbilitiesExperience configuring and operating various software tools.
Experience in using appropriate Agile Project Management tools such as Jira, Rally, VersionOne, or equivalent.
Experience in effectively uncovering hidden or non-functional requirements.
Understanding of software systems, technologies and software development practices.
Personal SkillsAbility to take strategic direction from executive management.
Ability to see tasks through to completion without significant guidance.
Organized and process-oriented.
