    Job Description

    Brick Staffing is seeking a bookkeeper to manage all our client's finances. Your responsibilities will include tracking our client's organization's revenue, expenses, and taxes, as well as producing financial reports. You will also be responsible for auditing the books to ensure all records are correct.

    This position can be full time/or part time (flexible hours) M-F. Customer Service Skills would be a plus

    Responsibilities

    Below are some of the responsibilities a bookkeeper is expected to assume in their position:

    • Prepare accounting records by compiling and analyzing account information
    • Reconcile company's financial records to help ensure accuracy of financial statements
    • Prepare tax returns for businesses and individuals
    • Post financial transactions to accounts and prepare financial statements
    • Study financial trends to determine future business needs
    • Prepares 401K notification to 401K party on pay period amount from employee paychecks and employee match.

    Job Qualifications and Skill Sets

    Below are the qualifications expected of a bookkeeper:

    • Bachelor's degree and/or experience equal to in accounting, business, or a related field
    • Strong working knowledge of accounting principles, financial statements, and accounting systems
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook), with advanced Microsoft Excel skills
    • Strong working knowledge of Peachtree / Sage 50; experience with other tax preparation and accounting software
    • Strong organizational, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
    • Detail-oriented and able to prioritize
    • Able to work independently and as part of a team
    • Self-starter
