    Job Title: Pipeline Utility Right-of-Way Specialist

    Company: The Davey Tree Expert Company

    Location: South East Ohio

    Pay Rate: $19-21/hour

    This is a temporary position with an opportunity to join other projects if willing to travel.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Plan and apply herbicide to pipeline utility right-of-way.

    • Maintain electronic spray logs to record the amount and types of herbicide used, as well as the coverage area.

    • Inspect and assess vegetation in right-of-ways for compliance standards and construction work plans.

    • Identify tree and brush control work and protection zone recommendations.

    • Coordinate with Project Managers, Planners, and Vegetation Crews to create customized solutions.

    Requirements:

    • Love of the outdoors and the ability to work and hike in rugged terrain.

    • Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds.

    • Ability to operate with limited remote supervision.

    • Leadership experience and a desire for career growth will be given a priority.

    • Demonstrated expertise in problem solving, meeting deadlines, and technical innovation.

    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

    • Availability and desire to travel throughout the utility service area.

    • Valid Driver's License with clean DMV driving record and ability to drive and operate a UTV.

    • Organizational skills; working knowledge of computers and programs, file creation, manipulation, and sharing.

    • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

    • Relevant pesticide and/or Herbicide licenses and certificates or the ability to obtain within 90 days. Assistance available for educational material and licensing fees.
