    Looking for an Acute Care Services Director (Day Shift) in Missoula, MT for a top Medical Center.

    Position Summary:


    This role reports to the CNO and is responsible for direction of staff members, quality outcomes and financial health of responsible units.

    This person will have 24/7 responsibility for the implementation of organizational mission, policies/procedures and goals and their effect on patient care.

    They serve as a resource and role model for the clinical team and care integrator for patients.

    This position works closely with the Leadership Council and oversees a team that includes ICU/PCU, Medical/Surgical and Rehab Nursing Units.


    Essential Duties:

    • Develops and implements staff education, orientation and training/development.
    • Assists with hiring of staff and annual evaluation process and ensures effective staffing levels.
    • Implements quality and safety standards and participates in ongoing process improvement.
    • Represents unit in assigned committee meetings.
    • Develops and updates policies and procedures and manages budget and resources for each unit.
    • Resolves issues and maintains regular communication with Senior Leadership Team on unit progress, strategic initiatives, etc.

    Requirements


    • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or eligible RN license in MT; Master's Degree preferred.
    • 5+ years as Acute Care Clinical Leader.
    • Med/Surg or ICU competency as a RN; 2+ years of experience as a bedside RN.
    • Demonstrated success with tabulating, collaborative work with physicians, project management and process improvement projects.
    • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
