    Description

    Overall Purpose: The Faro Arm Inspector - Programmer will program and utilize the Faro Arm to inspect machined components and other hardware to verify compliance to our specifications as well as customers.

    Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

    · Program a Faro Arm using Verisurf

    · Dimensional inspection using a Faro Arm

    · Accurately perform visual inspection for workmanship, and dimensional inspection to check for conformance to drawing requirements on all products in Receiving Inspection

    · Perform documented First Article reports as needed

    · Interface with our suppliers regarding, quality issues and receiving inspection results of supplier parts

    · Review and document inspection results on various types of shop travelers, process sheets, etc.

    · Be involved in internal and external auditing

    · Assist other areas as needed, including machine shop in process inspection

    · Follow quality system procedures, policies and instructions

    · Adhere to 5S Standards

    · Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including, but not limited to, policies for attendance and punctuality and standards for safety

    Other Duties:

    · Other duties based on the needs of the Inspection Department and Quality Department

    Qualification Requirements:

    · High School education or equivalent

    · 2+ years of experience in inspection, preferably in a manufacturing environment or completion of an inspection-related certificate program

    · Ability to program and operate a Faro Arm

    · Strong math background

    · Must possess basic computer skills

    · Must be proficient in the use of basic measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, height gages, depth mics, comparators, etc.

    · Ability to read and understand blueprints, drawings and other documented specifications

    · Fluent in English (able to read, speak, write and understand)

    · Have legible handwriting

    · Must be a US Person (US Citizen or Permanent Resident)

    Physical Demands:

    While performing duties of the job, the employee is regularly required to:

    • Speak or hear

    While performing duties of the job, the employee is occasionally required to:

    • Stand
    • Walk
    • Lift up to 30 pounds

    Vision requirements:

    • 20/25 eyesight or better with or without corrective lenses
    • Cannot be colorblind

    Work Environment: Warehouse environment
