Overview:
Under the direction of a radiologist, Radiologic Technologist performs technical pediatric radiographic procedures without constant supervision of technical detail.
Performs a variety of technical procedures that will require independent judgment, with ingenuity and initiative to apply prescribed ionizing radiation for radiographic diagnosis.
Assumes responsibility for designated areas or procedures as required. Participates in department and hospital LEAN improvement activities that align with the five True North Pillars.In addition, supports the CMH Service Excellence Program through demonstrated knowledge of CMH Shared Values, Mission and Vision, and Strategic Plan.

Responsibilities:
Performs radiographic procedures per department protocol. Able to utilize and be completely competent with fluoroscopy, C-arm, portable exams, bone density and all diagnostic equipment.
Performs essential RIS/HIS functions. Performs and maintains LEAN practices as it relates to Patient Safety and Quality.
Assists radiologist in all appropriate procedures.
Qualifications:
Associate's Degree Graduate of an AMA approved Radiologic Technology program or registry eligible ARRT No Experience necessary / On-the-Job Training
Registered Radiologic Technologist ARRT
Professional registration (ARRT or equivalent) Required
BLS certification Required
Current CEUs per ARRT requirements Required
For Kansas locations, current licensure as a State of Kansas Radiologic Technologist required Required 90 Days
