    Summary

    The Delivery Technician effectively interacts with patients/clients, their families, caregivers, and members of the healthcare/HME team in providing professional home medical equipment products and services. Provides delivery set-up, initial instruction, and pick-up of HME.

    Responsibilities
    • Practice safe driving habits and proper safety precautions.
    • Responsible for vehicle and equipment while on delivery/pickups.
    • Be able to assess home safety and patient needs.
    • Perform equipment set up, instruction and education.
    • Pickup of equipment following proper procedures.
    • Complete orders in an efficient and timely manner.
    • Treat patients with kindness and compassion.
    • On call on a rotating basis, responding quickly within company guidelines.
    • Follow all company policies and procedures.
    Requirements
    • HS Diploma or GED
    • Must have valid driver's license
    • Ability to obtain D.O.T. medical card
    • Must possess strong communication skills
    • Must be organized and detail oriented
    • Basic math and keyboard proficiency
    • Ability to lift heavy equipment (upwards of 50 pounds)
    • Familiarity with the local area and ability to navigate using GPS
    • Functional skills on a computers and mobile devices (Android or iOS)
