As a GPM at Affirm, you will be responsible for owning the vision and strategy for the most customer-centric and industry-leading checkout experience.
In addition to optimizing Affirm's checkout efficiency, this role will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive critical strategic initiatives heavily reliant on the checkout surface area and infrastructure.
Achieving this requires striking a perfect balance between business objectives, customer requirements, and technical necessities, all while collaborating with numerous cross-functional partners to accomplish remarkable outcomes.
The GPM of Purchasing Experience will report to the Sr. Director of Conversion and serve as the primary advocate for both users and merchants.This individual will be dedicated to enhancing the user experience, passionate about optimizing funnel efficiency, and fostering a pursuit of excellence mindset, thus cultivating a performance-driven culture that empowers everyone to achieve their career best.
What You'll DoBuild a deep understanding of different user segments and their needs, Affirm merchants and platform partners their jobs-to-be-done, why they love Affirm, and what they wish could be better
Partner with stakeholders to craft a coherent product vision, strategy and roadmap
Influence senior leadership on the overall checkout strategy and roadmap
Define clear outcomes, translating them into qualitative objectives and quantitative goals
Influence other product teams and be a good partner to support and launch cross functional initiatives
Collaborate cross functionally with engineering, design, sales and marketing, legal, capital, and operations to successfully launch and scale Affirm in different geographies
Improve the overall user experience with equal focus on inspiring the team to row towards the right long term vision and obsessed about driving improvements at the pixel/copy level to improve user experience and improving funnel efficiency
What We Look For
Overall 10+ years of experience building, growing and scaling largely consumer facing / e-commerce products.
5+ years of experience in building and iterating consumer and checkout related products and experiences.
5+ years experience managing lead/staff product managers. Helping/Coaching a strong team of PMs.
A passion and drive to change consumer finance for the better.
The ability to lead a large decentralized group from complex and ambiguous situations to clarity and focus.
The ability to absorb large amounts of information, distill key themes into actionable plans, and precisely communicate to a wide cross-functional audience.
A get-things-done attitude to make your product and team successful. Bias for action and delivering results will be key for this position.
An obsession for getting the details right, but also knowing how to ship on time
A drive to question assumptions and validate hypotheses
