Qualifications:

• Associates Degree of Nursing
• BLS and ACLS certifications issued by AHA or ARC
• 3 years of in-patient nursing experience
• Hands on experience using pharmacological agents in patient treatment to include knowledge or desired affects, side affects, complications, accurate administration, and dosage calculations of agents
• Unrestricted license to practice as a Registered Nurse

Pluses:

• Prior experience in cardiology, telemetry, conscious sedation is preferred

Day-to-Day:

Insight Global is in search of a Cardiology RN in the Elmendorf, AK area to support a government client on a long term contract. The ideal candidate would be responsible for booking appointments, coordinating follow up on care between the clinic and other medical facilities, input results in the EMR, conduct telephone consultations, process referrals, conduct pre-op care, assist with procedures to include set-up and post-op care for transesophageal echocardiograms, cardioversions, and other testing related to cardiovascular medicine. This individual will be performing other nursing duties to include, but not limited to, coordinating patient care in collaborations with other healthcare professionals, ensure compliance with standards of care and practice in accordance with all policies and procedures, conduct physical exams and health histories, administer medications, wound care, and other interventions.
