Private Spanish Tutor Needed (For 2nd Grade Student – Rancho Cucamonga)
We are looking for a passionate and engaging native Spanish-speaking tutor to teach our son, who is currently in 2nd grade. Spanish will be his third language. His native languages are English and Mandarin Chinese, and we would like him to build a strong foundation in Spanish pronunciation, conversation, and literacy from an early age.
About the Student
- 2nd grade (elementary level)
- Native in English and Mandarin
- No prior formal Spanish training
- Curious, energetic, and responsive to interactive learning
Location
We live in Rancho Cucamonga, CA.
We are flexible regarding lesson location:
- Sessions can be held at our home, or
- We are happy to travel to the tutor's location if preferred.
What We're Looking For
- Native Spanish speaker (required)
- Experience teaching elementary-aged children (early childhood or elementary education background preferred)
- Ability to design engaging, age-appropriate lessons
- Strong focus on pronunciation, conversational skills, and foundational literacy
- Patient, encouraging, and culturally engaging teaching style
- Experience working with multilingual children is a plus
Responsibilities
- Develop customized lesson plans tailored to a bilingual (English/Mandarin) learner
- Make lessons interactive and engaging through games, stories, and conversation
- Introduce cultural elements to build genuine interest in Spanish-speaking countries
- Provide regular feedback on progress
- Adjust teaching methods based on the child's learning style
We are looking for someone who can inspire a long-term love of language learning and make Spanish both fun and meaningful.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $ $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 2 per week
