- Perform or operate systems that report accurate lensometry, visual acuity, pupil checks, dilation, PD measurement, color/stereo test, auto-refraction, K-readings, blood pressure and blood sugar.

SummaryThe Optometric Technician is responsible for developing and maintaining a positive patient experience while providing eye and vision care services. The optometric technician position will perform testing for eye examinations, as well as other administrative clinical activities. Other duties include greeting and check in, scheduling appointments, answering patient inquiries regarding electronic health records, insurance benefits and billing details.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
American Eyecare utilizes a 4-day workweek. This is a full-time position (36 hours), Monday through Thursday, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Travel
Travel may be required to assist with staff coverage in other American Eyecare locations.
