OverviewThe Safety Manager will promote and maintain a culture of safety excellence within the organization.
You will be responsible for implementing safety programs, conducting training sessions, and ensuring compliance with occupational health and safety regulations.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for safety, strong communication skills, and the ability to engage and inspire others to prioritize workplace safety.
Key ResponsibilitiesSafety Program Development:
Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive safety programs and policies to ensure a safe working environment for all employees, subcontractors, and visitors.
Review and update safety manuals, procedures, and protocols in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations and industry best practices.
Safety Training And Education
Conduct safety training sessions, toolbox talks, and workshops to educate employees on safety procedures, hazard identification, and accident prevention techniques.
Safety Inspections And Audits
Conduct regular inspections and audits of worksites, equipment, and facilities to identify potential safety hazards, unsafe conditions, and non-compliance with safety regulations.
Incident Investigation And Reporting
Investigate accidents, incidents, near misses, and other safety-related incidents to determine root causes, contributing factors, and corrective actions needed to prevent recurrence.
Safety Compliance And Regulatory Affairs
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local occupational health and safety regulations, including OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) standards, EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) requirements, and industry-specific safety standards.
Safety Communication And Promotion
Promote a safety-first culture by communicating safety messages, initiatives, and goals through various channels, including safety meetings, newsletters, posters, and digital signage.
Encourage employee participation and engagement in safety programs, committees, and activities to create a sense of ownership and accountability for safety.
