- Develop and maintain business continuity and disaster recovery programs
- Develop policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure that all business
- Work closely with state agencies to identify their business continuity and
- Develop and deliver training programs on business continuity and disaster
- Test and evaluate the effectiveness of business continuity and disaster
- Work closely with the Information Security Office and other stakeholders
- Complete and maintain the business impact analysis (BIA) to enable the
- Coordinate and participate in exercises and simulations to test the
- Keep abreast of industry best practices and emerging technologies in the
- Provide timely reports and updates to the Business Continuity and
- Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in business continuity and disaster
- Experience working in a government or public sector environment is
- Strong understanding of business continuity and disaster recovery
- Familiarity with industry standards such as ISO 22301, NIST SP 800-3
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to wor
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Relevant certifications such as CBCP, MBCP, or DRCE are preferred.

Job Summary:
The Program Development Specialist for Business
Continuity and Disaster Recovery will be responsible for developing and
maintaining business continuity and disaster recovery programs for the
State of Maine. This position will report to the Business Continuity and
Disaster Recovery Officer and work within the Governance, Compliance,
and Risk Section of the Information Security Office in the Maine Office of
Information Technology.
