    Spring Arbor Senior Living of Frederick, MD is seeking a Memory Care Director. The Memory Care Director is an integral part of the Cottage, Spring Arbor's memory care community. This individual will have a passion for the care of residents with memory impairment, will have a heart for person-centered care, and will be a strong leader. The Memory Care Director is the subject-matter expert on all things related to managing the care of our residents with memory impairment. An LPN degree is preferred but not required for this position.

    WHAT YOU WILL DO

    • Recruit, hire and manage cottage care staff
    • Complete scheduling for cottage care staff
    • Orient, monitor progress and reinforce training of cottage care staff
    • Assist the Resident Care Director and Executive Director in implementing state regulations as required
    • Monitor all aspects of medication administration including the audit of Medication Administration Records (MAR) and notifying pharmacy of changes
    • Consult with families and/or physicians to coordinate resident care needs

    • State-specific Medication Technician certification required (Candidates must possess to move forward in the process)
    • In addition to Med Tech license, a CNA/GNA or PCA/DCS Certification is required
    • LPN degree preferred but not required
    • Aptitude and previous experience with Alzheimer's and memory impaired residents
    • High school diploma or equivalent required
    • Must be at least 21 years old
    • Prior management experience in a similar work environment
    • Must have and maintain CPR and First Aid
