    *** 13 Week Assignment ***

    Specific Duties:

    • Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate clients' physical, cognitive, sensory, and emotional abilities, as well as their environmental factors and personal goals. Utilize standardized assessments, clinical observations, and interviews to identify strengths, limitations, and barriers to occupational performance.
    • Collaborate with clients, families, and other healthcare professionals to establish realistic and client-centered goals based on assessment findings and individual priorities. Prioritize objectives related to self-care, productivity, leisure, and social participation to enhance overall well-being and functional outcomes.
    • Develop customized intervention plans tailored to each client's unique needs, preferences, and goals. Select appropriate therapeutic activities, adaptive strategies, and environmental modifications to address deficits, promote skill development, and optimize functional independence across various life domains.
    • Provide direct one-on-one or group therapy sessions to deliver evidence-based interventions aimed at improving clients' physical strength, motor coordination, cognitive skills, sensory integration, self-care abilities, and vocational readiness. Utilize a holistic approach to address physical, psychological, and social factors influencing occupational performance.
    • Recommend and facilitate the use of assistive devices, adaptive equipment, and technological aids to enhance clients' independence and participation in daily activities. Train clients and caregivers on proper device usage, maintenance, and safety precautions to maximize functional outcomes and promote long-term success.
    • Educate clients, families, and caregivers about their conditions, treatment options, and self-management strategies. Provide instruction on energy conservation techniques, ergonomic principles, home modification ideas, and activity adaptation methods to promote safety, efficiency, and independence in daily life.
    • Continuously assess clients' progress towards goals, adjusting intervention strategies as needed to address emerging needs or challenges. Document objective data, subjective observations, and treatment outcomes in accordance with professional standards and regulatory requirements to track progress and inform decision-making.
    • Coordinate care and communicate effectively with interdisciplinary team members, including physicians, physical therapists, speech-language pathologists, social workers, educators, and vocational counselors. Participate in case conferences, team meetings, and discharge planning activities to ensure holistic care delivery and seamless transitions across care settings.
    • Facilitate community reintegration and participation by identifying opportunities for clients to engage in meaningful occupations within their local environments. Advocate for accessibility, inclusion, and social justice to promote equal opportunities for individuals with disabilities or functional limitations.

    Must have qualifications/experience:

    • Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
    • Licensure: Valid state licensure or registration as an Occupational Therapist.
    • 2 years' experience providing outpatient therapy services to the adult population; 2 years' experience treating neurologic disorders in adults.

    Experience Preferred:

    • Experience treating brain injury is preferred but not required.

    REMOTE/ONSITE: Onsite, Indianapolis, IN

    Shift Start/End Time: Monday-Friday 8am-5pm (Days) with 1 hour lunch break at 12pm
