    Consolidated Aerospace Manufacturing (CAM) is the primary division of Stanley Black & Decker Aerospace.

    The CNC Machinist is capable of independently setting up, running, and troubleshooting various automatic CNC machines for the manufacture of all types of parts for new or revised products.

    Works in accordance with product specifications and quality standards.

    Thorough understanding of CNC Lathe and Milling operational requirements across industry standard machinery (Fadal, Okuma, Doosan, LSY, Swiss, HAAS...)
    Experience with Fanuc, Okuma, Fadal, or HAAS languages / OSP controls
    Ability to simultaneously operate multiple, lightly-attended automated CNC machines
    Programming experience with on machine probing for set-up and inspection. Experience with CNC tooling and fixture application for setups (Collets, Chucks, Vises...)
    Preferred Background / Experience for CNC Machinist II (High Level)

    5+ years of shop floor machining and set up experience
    Familiarity with Master Cam or similar, ability to read and interpret CNC Programming language
    Load & Go automation systems, Bar Feed

    Setup and Operate CNC equipment to produce machined parts according to blueprints, router package specifications and/or special instructions.


    • Understand and use drawings, manuals, and work instructions to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished work-piece, sequence of operations, and setup requirements.
    • Parallel run of CNC equipment with cyclical observation of operation to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining, adjustment machine controls or control media as required.
    • Inspects parts for quality and appropriate tolerance using measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, and comparators.
    • Record the piece count and run time of the production times.
    • Verify dimensions and alignment of assembly.
    Evaluation of cutting tools and inserts
    Analyze drawings and design data of the parts to validate the dimension and configuration of the cuts

    Select the appropriate tools and machine speeds and feed rates according to the machine shop processes, part specifications and machine capabilities.

    Understand and ability to incorporate lean manufacturing in cell environment, quick change set-up, 5S standards and practices
    Participate in process development including but not limited to adjustment of or creation of detailed router instructions, operation sheets, tool selection and fixture and tooling design
