Responsible for creating a culture of safety and accountable for ensuring that patient safety measures are adhered to according to policy, procedure, and standards of care.

Participates and/or chairs inter/intradepartmental committees and task forces to assist in the achievement of department and/or system goals and objectives.

In collaboration with the Medical Director of the Emergency Department, identifies, monitors, and documents relevant indicators to measure the quality of clinical outcomes, patient satisfaction, and financial performance.
Ensure ongoing review of denial data. - Other duties as consistent with this role.
- Basic Dysrhythmia preferred or obtained before completion of orientation.
- Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) training preferred or obtained before completion of orientation.
- Bachelor's degree in nursing required. Master's degree preferred.
- Current Maine RN license required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required.
- National Certification in specialty preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of Nursing Leadership experience is required and a minimum of two years of nursing experience in the ED.
