    Job Summary

    The Data Analyst is responsible for developing financial reports and analysis that are meaningful to management and provide critical decision support.

    Responsibilities:

    Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

    • Design and conduct ongoing analysis of business unit profitability, cost structure, capital deployment and regulatory compliance. Incorporate industry specific metrics into analysis and reports. Provide results, issues, trends, and insights to management.
    • Prepare monthly comparison analysis of actual results with plans and forecasts.
    • Maintain and promote a strong safety culture and follow all safety policies, procedures, and regulations. Identify and communicate workplace hazards and correct or seek assistance in correcting unsafe actions or conditions.
    • Explore large, diverse data sets from the healthcare industry.
    • Sample and stratify the data, transform the data, create new views of the data, and perform feature selection.
    • Advance statistical methods to identify interesting, meaningful sub-populations in the data.
    • Understand the business context of these advanced analytics opportunities.
    • Evaluate the models and visualize the results.
    • Data analytics and data mining.
    • Other duties as assigned
    Qualifications:

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

    4+ years analyzing data and writing queries/stored procedures in SQL Server

    2+ years working with financial data, preferably associated with Healthcare Claims

    2+ years building reports and dashboards in PowerBI or similar reporting tool

    2+ years doing advanced statistical analysis

    1+ years building reports in Excel

    Ability to quickly grasp and articulate dependencies between processes and data

    Strong ability to analyze data and pay attention to detail

    Excellent communication, organizational and time management skills

    Takes initiative and can manage and complete multiple concurrent projects in a timely manner

    PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

    Bachelors degree or equivalent combinations of education and experience

    Experience leading projects

    Experience working with offshore teams
