    Responsibilities:

    • Analyze user requirements to derive software design and performance requirements
    • Debug existing software and correct defects
    • Provide recommendations for enhancing documentation and software development processes
    • Design and code new software or enhance existing software with new features
    • Integrate existing software into new or modified systems or environments
    • Develop straightforward data queries for existing or proposed databases
    • Write or review software and system documentation
    • Act as team lead, as necessary, in the software development process
    • Design or implement complex database or data interfaces/queries
    • Assist in creating and executing test procedures for software components
    • Develop software solutions by analyzing system performance standards, consulting with users or engineers, analyzing data flow and processes, and investigating problem areas
    • Update existing software to rectify errors, adapt to new hardware, or boost performance
    • Design, develop, and modify software systems using analysis and mathematical models
    • Design or implement complex algorithms adhering to strict constraints
    • Ensure quality control of team products
    • Implement recommendations for improving documentation and software development standards
    • Supervise one or more software development teams to ensure adherence to project constraints
    • Consult with system and hardware engineers to determine software requirements, project limitations, and performance needs
    • Coordinate software system installation and monitor equipment functionality
    • Recommend innovative technologies for complex software projects
    • Lead multiple software development teams from a technical standpoint
    • Select the appropriate software development process in coordination with customers and system engineering
    • Ensure quality control for all developed and modified software
    • Delegate programming and testing responsibilities to teams and monitor their performance

    Qualifications Basic Qualifications:

    • Fifteen (15) years of experience as a Software Engineer in similar programs and contracts
    may qualify. A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field is a must. In lieu of a bachelor's degree, four (4) additional years of relevant experience may be considered.

    • Candidates should have experience in developing high-speed digital signal processing systems for military, aerospace, or intelligence applications
    • Proficiency in software defined radio hardware/firmware/software, including DSP algorithm development in FPGA resources, GPUs, and GPPs is essential
    • Experience with advanced modulation techniques, multiplexed signals, and spread spectrum technology is required. Familiarity with modifying DSP implementations in C/C++ is a plus
    • Knowledge of precise synchronous digital sampling and timestamping is mandatory
    • An active TS/SCI security clearance with a current polygraph is necessary.
