    Position Summary:

    The Registered Nurse reports to the Director and is accountable for providing nursing care to acutely ill patients. The RN carries out designated procedures within the authorized practice defined by the Iowa State Board of Nursing.

    Minimum Qualifications:

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
    • Demonstrate proficient assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of age-appropriate nursing care following ORCH policy/procedure, meeting Joint Commission and Center for Medicare/Medicaid requirements.
    EDUCATION
    • Graduate of a registered nursing program from an accredited institution
    • Completion of Dysrhythmia course within 6 months of hiring or successful written dysrhythmia competency test within 90 days of employment
    • Preferred certification in Advanced Cardiopulmonary Life Support (ACLS)
    EXPERIENCE
    • Prior experience in Telemetry or Progressive care nursing is preferred, though not mandatory
    CERTIFICATE/LICENSE
    • Active Iowa Registered Nurse License
    • Current BCLS verification
    • Preferred certification in Progressive Care RN, but not obligatory
