Join Our Team as a Licensed Practical Nurse in a Correctional Setting!

Medical Search is seeking a dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for a position in the Phoenix, Arizona area (located 1 hour south).

This role involves working in a correctional setting with opportunities for day or night shifts and 12-hour Shifts availability.

Day Shifts: 7am-7pm
Night Shifts: 7pm-7am

Successful candidates must hold an active LPN license in Arizona (AZ) and possess CPR certification.

All necessary licenses must be in good standing, and candidates are required to pass a background check.

Responsibilities:

Administer basic nursing duties, including following physician orders, overseeing pill call, managing sick call, and assisting with examinations and treatments alongside physicians.
Contribute to the professional administration of the medical department within the facility.

The ideal candidate should demonstrate proficiency in the following areas:

Utilize nursing skills effectively in caring for inmates/residents.
Participate in sick call visits with physicians, prepare necessary lists and examination rooms, and manage equipment.
Dispense medication during pill call, maintaining accurate documentation as per protocols.
Supervise the storage and distribution of medications, syringes, and medical supplies with strict adherence to outlined procedures.
Ensure the utmost security and confidentiality of all medical records.
