    GridironIT is seeking a Data Exploitation SME local to the DC area. TS/SCI clearance is required. Onsite work at the Navy Yard is required.


    Task Description:


    The selectee will collaborate with both government and industry partners to guide the direction of the mission with evidence-based data analysis.

    They will initiate or participate in technical exchanges and joint development efforts to strengthen data partnerships, address data/access challenges, and advance related initiatives.

    The selectee will work closely with end users and program stakeholders to develop and deliver innovative insights regarding potential data science solutions, opportunities to leverage machine learning, practice anomaly/detection methods, exercise pattern recognition, and enrich findings with data gathered in a consistent, repeatable, and defendable manner from a wide variety of sources.

    Selectee will translate mission needs and analytic questions related to datasets into a data science framework. Apply relevant data tagging schemes and/or data models to develop and deliver multi-level security (MLS) system(s). Communicate complex technical information to decision makers. Make informed recommendations about the program's data sources, processing, storage, and analytical capabilities and limitations.


    Years of Experience Desired:
    Minimum 8 years; 8 + preferred

    Education:
    Bachelor's degree (in any field) or 8 years of relevant work experience in Title 10 (Defense), use of Title 50 (intelligence) data for tactical missions (minimum) Experience in the following areas is preferred:
    Experience analyzing data using mathematical/statistical methods.
    Experience that demonstrates strong communication, writing, and briefing interpersonal skills
    Experience championing innovation activities across the organization
    Experience quickly learning new technical/mission concepts and understand new data sets
    Experience that demonstrates critical thinking and reasoning to make strategic analytic assessments
    Experience that demonstrate skills at visual representation principles

    Experiences that demonstrate mix of technical acumen, analytic skills, and a breadth of US Navy or US Marine Corps mission knowledge to succeed in this position.

    Experience evaluating and applying data science tools and techniques for distilling information from large data sets to identify actionable information and findings for targeted users/audiences (e.g. entity disambiguation, data mining, anomaly detection, trend analysis, summarization, abstracting, and fusion). Be able to present/visualize data in a form useful to customers.
    Experience understanding technical environment, tools, and capabilities
    Experience building performance metrics for tools used in analysis production
    Experience collaborating with program office leadership to shape and inform organizational goals, processes, and data analysis
    Experience translating practical mission needs and analytic questions related to large datasets into technical requirements and, conversely assist others with drawing appropriate conclusions from the analysis of such data
    Experience effectively communicating complex technical information to non-technical audiences

    Experience making informed recommendations regarding competing technical solutions by maintaining awareness of the constantly-shifting collection, processing storage and analytic capabilities and limitations available to US Government entities.


    Additional Notes:

    The position is for a data scientist with experience in processing large volumes of intel sensor data from a variety of sensor sources.

    Looking for a Data Scientist that can understand the phenomenology or quality of source data as they are pulling together disparate sources and fusing it into a Track that can have an assigned trust/confidence level.

    Experience with intel sensor data would be important.
