- Competitive Starting Salary $232,000 - $315,000
- Work Schedule: Mon-Fri, 8am-4:30pm., NO CALL
- Responsible for direct patient care, clinical work, oversight, and administration of all aspects of primary care, in the outpatient setting (Alexandria VA Health Care Systems and Community Based Outpatient Clinics (CBOC); i.e. Ft. Johnson CBOC, Lafayette CBOC, Jennings CBOC, Natchitoches CBOC, and Lake Charles CBOC), as well as administrative duties related to the successful operation of the Primary Care (PACT) service line
- Supervises the administrative leads and support staff. Must work closely with clinical leadership at all locations
- Consistently communicates and treats customers (veterans, their representatives, visitors, and all VA staff) in a courteous, tactful, and respectful manner
- Provides Oversight of residency and fellowship program
- Board Certified in Family Medicine/Internal Medicine
- Demonstrated clinical experience and at least 1-year supervisory leadership required
- Exceptional computer and communication skills required
- Must be a U.S. Citizen. Non-Citizen candidates will be considered if a U.S. Citizen is not found
- Full and unrestricted license from any U.S. State
- Predictable work schedules and a focus on quality rather than volume
- Annual performance bonus up to an additional $15K per year

- 26 days paid vacation; 13 days paid sick time per year w/unlimited carry over; 11 paid holidays
- Traditional federal pension (5 years vesting) and separate 401K with up to 5% contribution by VA
- Possible 5 days for CMEs and up to $1,000 per year (must be full-time with board certification)
- This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), if approved
