• Reporting to the Accounting Manager, the Staff Accountant is responsible for performing day-to-day operational accounting duties, including but not limited to preparation of journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reports.

• Prepare month end journal entries timely and accurately
• Reconcile accounts and prepare financial reports
• Collaborate with key business partners to research and resolve issues
• Identify opportunities and implement solutions for process improvements
• Document key process and procedures
• Effectively and professionally interact with all functions within the company
• Assist in internal and external audits
• Ad-hoc projects or other duties as assigned

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting
• 2-3 years' GL accounting experience in a similar position
• Strong technical knowledge of accounting rules and practices
• Strong Excel Skills including proficiency in pivot tables, lookups, and ability to manipulate data
• Strong attention to detail and ability to trace general ledger entries back to sub ledger systems
• Ability to research variances independently and effectively explain findings
• Ability to multi-task, set priorities and meet deadlines
• Ability to work overtime during month end close and year end
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, works well with people from different background and with different styles

• Distribution Company experience
• AS400 or Mincron ERP experience
