    The Lodge at Whitefish Lake, one of Montana's AAA Four Diamond resorts, is seeking a Banquet Cook to join our team.

    PRINCIPLERESPONSIBILITIES AND POSITION PURPOSE:

    As a banquet cook you will beresponsible for preparing food items by cutting, chopping, mixing, andpreparing sauces. Cooking food items by grilling, sauteing, and other cookingmethods to specified recipes and standards. Maintain cleanliness and complieswith food sanitation requirements by properly handling food and ensuringcorrect storage.

    MAIN DUTIES ANDRESPONSIBILITIES:
    • Taking directions from supervisor and retaining information received.
    • Preparing food including cleaning and cutting the ingredients, cooking main dishes, desserts, appetizers, and snacks.
    • Plating prepared foods based on senior chef's guidance.
    • Working with banquet staff to ensure food is completed according to request and on time.
    • Ensure all equipment is kept in excellent working condition through personal inspection and by following the restaurant's preventative maintenance programs.
    • Washing and cleaning the kitchen and cooking equipment at the end of work shifts.
    • Fullyunderstand and follow all regulations that pertain to health and safety.
    SPECIFIC JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS,AND ABILITY
    • Knowledge of Food and Beverage, Local and State Food Handling laws and procedures.
    • Must be organized and detail oriented.
    • Must be a strong team player with a hospitality first mindset.
    • Desire to provide phenomenal guest experiences, a passion for quality, and attention to detail.
    • Strong communication skills with the ability to foster cooperation.
    • Ability to build strong relationships and work with a team of culinary professionals.
    QUALIFICATIONSTANDARDS

    EDUCATION
    • Preference for a previous cooking experience
    EXPERIENCE/LICENSES OR CERTIFICATES
    • Minimum of 2 years' experience in a restaurant or related field an asset.
    Inaddition to performance of the essential functions, this position may berequired to perform a combination of the following supportive functions, withthe percentage of time performing each function to be solely determined by the GeneralManager based upon the particular requirements of the company.
    • Maintain an open line ofcommunication between guests, employees, and management.
    • Participatein industry organizations.
    • This position may be required toperform other and additional duties assigned by the General Manager.t.
    Standing, bending, stooping, and lifting weights up to and including 50lbs. may be required. The hospitality business functions seven (7) days a week, twenty-four hours a day.
